Privacy policy

The short version

We keep the minimum needed to run your account: an email address, the files you convert, and your conversion history. Several of our tools never send your file anywhere at all — they run inside your browser. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.

What we collect

• Account — your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password itself. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your email address from Google instead of a password.
• Files you convert — images you upload for conversion, plus the SVG/EPS files we generate from them.
• History and metadata — conversion records and any stock metadata (titles, descriptions, keywords) you save.
• Credits and purchases — your credit balance and a record of purchases and refunds.
• Usage counts— anonymous counters such as “a conversion succeeded” used to see whether features work. These are counts only: no file contents, no keywords, no filenames.
• Feedback — anything you type into a feedback form.

What never reaches our servers

These tools run entirely inside your browser. The file is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to CleanVector:

• Video metadata (MP4/MOV keyword and title embedding)
• SVG to EPS conversion, single and batch
• Background removal
• On-device keyword suggestions for images

If you use the optional bring-your-own-key AI helpers, your API key is stored only in your own browser and the request goes directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose. Your key, your file, and the provider’s response never pass through CleanVector — but that provider has its own privacy terms, which apply to that request.

We also never see your card details. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy — see our refund policy for how purchases work.

Cookies

One cookie, used to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics scripts on this site.

How long we keep things

• Account data — kept while your account exists.
• Uploaded source images — removed periodically once they are about a week old.
• Generated SVG/EPS files — kept so your conversion history and downloads keep working.
• Anonymous conversions — if you convert without an account, the temporary file is deleted as soon as the conversion finishes. Nothing is stored.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself from your account settings. It asks for your password, then removes your account rows and your uploaded files in one step.

Two things we want to be straight about: deletion cannot be undone — there is no recovery window — and backups taken before you deleted may still contain a copy until those backups age out on their own schedule. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.

Who else sees your data

• Lemon Squeezy — processes payments and is the merchant of record. They receive what a payment needs: your email and billing details.
• Google — only if you choose Google Sign-In.
• An AI provider of your choosing — only if you use a bring-your-own-key helper, and only from your own browser.

That is the whole list. We do not sell data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Security

Passwords are hashed, the site is served over HTTPS, and your files are readable only by your own account. CleanVector is a small operation rather than a large company: we take security seriously, but no service can promise perfection. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how long we keep it, we will update the date at the top of this page.
