Add keywords to video

Add keywords to MP4 videos

CleanVector lets you write ordered stock keywords and embed them into an MP4 as Adobe-tested XMP while also exporting CSV sidecars.

Use it when your footage is ready but you need clean keyword metadata in the file and an editable CSV companion before marketplace review.

  • ✓ MP4 stays in your browser
  • ✓ Adobe-tested XMP metadata
  • ✓ CSV sidecars included

Practical workflow

  1. 1

    Pick a video

Choose an MP4 from your device. CleanVector previews it locally and shows basic video details.

  2. 2

    Order keywords

Enter comma-separated keywords with the most important terms first, then add title and description if you have them.

  3. 3

    Embed or export CSV

Download an MP4 with XMP keywords embedded, or export Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, or generic CSV sidecars for review/import workflows.

What it helps with

  • Keep a stock-video keyword list attached to the MP4 instead of only in a separate note.
  • Deduplicate comma-separated keywords automatically while preserving the order you typed.
  • Avoid uploading private video files just to prepare metadata.

Marketplace notes

Keywords are embedded as XMP subject entries for the Adobe-tested MP4 metadata path.

CSV exports remain useful when a marketplace asks for spreadsheet metadata or does not read embedded video metadata.

Optional BYOK AI suggestions use your key in the browser; CleanVector-hosted AI remains gated.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add only keywords without a title?
Yes. You can embed any non-empty metadata field. A title and description are recommended for stock workflows, but keywords alone are allowed.
Does CleanVector remove duplicate keywords?
Yes. The keyword parser trims entries, removes duplicates case-insensitively, and keeps the first occurrence in the order you typed.
Will the video quality change?
No. CleanVector does not transcode the MP4. It inserts metadata and rewrites container offsets, so video and audio streams are not recompressed.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes. MP4 files are limited to 2 GB for now so the browser workflow stays predictable on common devices.
